What is the Standard album builder?
Standard albums are built from the organizing work you've already done: pick a person, a tag, or a set of photos, and group them into a named album. It's a rules-based tool, you're doing the curating, Confetti is doing the grouping and the mechanics. It's unlimited and free to use once your photos are scanned.
What is the Intelligent (AI) album builder?
The Intelligent builder takes a larger pool of photos and an AI pass arranges them into a narrative album, with pacing and a rough "chapters" structure, rather than a flat, chronological dump. It's aimed at the album you want to actually be worth reliving: the ceremony, the reception, the quiet in-between moments, in an order that reads like a story instead of a folder.
How is that different from just sorting by time?
Chronological order is accurate but not always the most compelling way to relive a day. The Intelligent builder groups and paces photos by moment and significance rather than strictly by timestamp, then you can still reorder, swap, or remove photos before you finalize it.
Why does the Intelligent builder cost credits and Standard doesn't?
Generating an Intelligent album runs an AI process, which has a real compute cost, so each generation uses one credit. Once an album is generated, you can freely swap and reshuffle the photos in it at no extra cost; you only spend another credit if you want to generate a brand-new album from scratch. Which one should I use?
If you know exactly what you want (all the photos with your parents, everyone at the reception), Standard is faster and free. If you want a single, polished, share-ready album without doing the ordering yourself, the Intelligent builder is built for that. Many people build several Standard albums for specific people or moments, then use one or two Intelligent albums for the "main" keepsake album.
