What situation is this for?
You've built an album, either with the Standard builder or the Intelligent one, and you're happy with it. Now you want the actual photos on your own machine, not just a view inside the app. This guide walks through getting there.
What do you need before you start?
- A finished album inside a Confetti event. If you haven't built one yet, see how to build a wedding album with the Intelligent builder.
- If the album used the Intelligent builder, it needs to be confirmed first. Refining a generated album, replacing or shuffling photos, is free; downloading unlocks once you confirm the version you want.
- A few minutes and enough free space on your device for the photos.
Steps to download your album
1. Open the event and find your album. From your Confetti dashboard, open the event the album belongs to, then open the album itself. 2. Review it one more time. Scroll through the sequence. This is your last chance to reorder or swap a photo before you lock it in. 3. Confirm the album, if it's an Intelligent build. Confirming tells Confetti this is the version you want. Standard albums don't need this step; they're ready to download as soon as you're satisfied with the order. 4. Choose Download Album. Confetti packages the photos in your album, in the order you arranged them, into a download your browser saves to your computer. 5. Check your downloads folder. The album is now a set of ordinary photo files. Open them with any photo viewer, no Confetti login required.
What does Confetti not do at this step?
Downloading an album never writes anything back to your Google Drive. Confetti doesn't create a new folder in your Drive, doesn't move your originals, and doesn't touch the source photos in any way. Your Drive stays exactly as it was before you connected it; the download is a separate, independent copy that lives only on your device. What if I want to change the album after downloading?
Go back into the event, adjust the album, and download it again. Each download is a fresh snapshot of the album at that moment. There's no limit on re-downloading an album you've already confirmed; the file that's already on your computer is untouched either way.
