What does one AI album credit actually pay for?
A credit pays for one generation, the moment the Intelligent builder runs its AI pass over a pool of photos and arranges them into a paced, story-structured album. That's the expensive step, so it's the one that costs a credit. Everything that happens after generation is free.
How is a credit priced?

What can I do for free after I generate an album?
Once an album is generated, you can replace individual photos, reshuffle the order, and swap things in or out as many times as you want, at no extra cost. Refining reuses the analysis from your original generation, it doesn't run a new AI pass, which is why it's free. Most people generate once, then spend real time refining before they're happy with the result.
When do I need to spend a new credit?
Only if you want to throw out the current album and start over with a fresh AI pass, a different pool of photos, a different starting point entirely. Swapping a few photos in an album you already like is refining, free. Asking the Intelligent builder to generate a brand-new album from scratch is a new credit.
What does "confirm" unlock?
Confirming is the step where you tell Confetti an album is done. Before you confirm, you can keep refining it for free. Once you confirm, the album is finalized and you can download it to your computer or share it by link. There's no download or share option before you confirm, confirming is what turns a work-in-progress into a finished album.
How many credits do I get, and what if I run out?
How many credits you start with depends on the tier or package you choose, more on what a Confetti event costs. If you use them all and want another AI-generated album, you can buy more at any tier, including small à la carte batches. A credit is spent once per generation, regardless of how many photos end up in that album, so album size doesn't change what a generation costs.
Do I have to use AI albums at all?
No. The Standard builder is free and unlimited, and plenty of people build every album that way, picking tagged photos and grouping them by hand.
